The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour will be returning to Pennsylvania on May 3-4. This event marks the first time the HJGT will be in the Philadelphia area. The event is being played at the magnificent Wyncote Golf Club in Oxford, PA. Wyncote was recently ranked the fifth best public golf course in Pennsylvania by Golf Magazine. The Philly Jr. Challenge is open to all junior golfers between the ages of 11-18. This tournament has plenty at stake. The champion in each division will win AJGA Performance Stars if their respective field size requirements are met. Junior Golf Scoreboard rankings will be awarded to all divisions as well. The winners in each division will receive an automatic bid into the HJGT 2014 Tour Championship and Mid-Season Invitational. Additionally, the top ten finishers will receive points towards year end honors which include state teams, ALL HJGT teams and the Hurricane Cup. The event will be a two day, 36-hole, stroke play tournament. The first round will begin on Saturday with a single tee start running from 10AM-1PM. The second round, on Sunday, will also be a single tee start with times ranging from 10:00AM-1PM. The registration fee is $199 for members and $229 for non-members. The course was designed by award-winning architect Brian Ault and rewards golfers with the finest playing conditions available. About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 11-14 and Girls 15-18.
