The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) is excited to invite you to our final event in South Carolina for 2014! The Palmetto State has been a wonderful host for the HJGT this year and we are excited to return for our final installment. The Palmetto Dunes Jr. Open will be held at the Palmetto Dunes- George Fazio Golf Course on Saturday November 22nd through Sunday November 23rd. Don’t miss out on this final opportunity to compete with the top junior golfers at an incredible South Carolina venue!
The Palmetto Dunes Jr. Open is open to all golfers between the ages of 11-18. At stake in this event are opportunities to earn South Carolina Junior Golf Association Heritage Points (SCJGA), Tarheel Youth Golf Association Points (TYGA), Junior Golf Scoreboard Rankings (JGS), and AJGA Performance Stars if the respective field sizes are met within each age division. First place finishers in each division receive an automatic bid to the 2014 Tour Championship, held on December 6th-7th. This event is a two-day, 36 hole event. The first round will kick off Saturday, November 22nd with a double tee start running from 8:00AM to 10:00AM. The second round will begin Sunday, November 23rd with a double tee start running from 8:00AM to 10:00AM. Registration fees for HJGT members are $185 and $215 for non-members. Hilton Head Island’s only par-70 public golf course, the George Fazio course was just named the 2014 South Carolina Golf Course of the Year by the SC Golf Course Owners Association. The layout offers an exhilarating experience and is revered as the island’s truest championship challenge. For beginners and advanced players, the Fazio course offers an exceptional golf experience. One of the youngest golf courses to be featured on Golf Digest’s list of America’s 100 Best, the par-70 layout continues to offer stimulating challenges. With only two par 5s, the heart of the course lies in a series of long par 4s, beginning with the 432-yard first hole and ending with the 462-yard 18th. The tree-lined fairways roll gently on the front nine, while the back nine offers tighter shots that require strategic positioning off the tee. With relatively small greens and undulating surfaces, the Fazio course challenges and delights golfers.

About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 11-14 and Girls 15-18.
