The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) invites you to play in the Orlando Junior Shootout! This event will be held at Timacuan Golf and Country Club in Lake Mary, FL on Mar. 5-6. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to play one of Florida’s premier golf courses!
The Orlando Junior Shootout is open to all junior golfers ages 8-18. The event will have Junior Golf Scoreboard Ranking (JGS), Golfweek ranking, American Junior Golf Association Performance Stars (AJGA), winners in each division will receive in an exemption into the 2016 Tour Championship December 3-4, 2016, top three in each division will receive an exemption into the 2016 Mid Season Invitational at Chateau Elan on June 11-13, 2016, and top-10 finishers receive points towards year end honors which include state teams, all HJGT teams, and the Hurricane Cup.
American Junior Golf Association
- Boys 14-18 Champion = 4 Performance Stars, Boys 14-18 Top 5 = 1 Performance Star, Girls 14-18 Champion = 4 Performance Stars, Girls 14-18 Top 3 = 1 Performance Star, Girls U13 Champion = 1 Performance Star, Girls 14-18 champion = 4 stars, Girls 14-18 top 3 = 1 star
- This event has guaranteed AJGA stars for the divisions noted above. If a division is not listed above as guaranteed AJGA stars and the event meets the minimum requirements for any age division we will submit it to the AJGA for consideration. The minimums are as follows: Boys 11-13 = 20 players.
Golfweek
- Boys 14-18 Boys must have 40 players, Girls 14-18 must have 12 players.
Junior Golf Scoreboard
- Any division in which five or more competitors complete at least a 36-hole event.
This event is a two-day, 36-hole event. Both rounds will begin with a double tee start from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Registration for members is $209 and $259 for non-members.
