The players with the four lowest tournament scores of the month have been named the HJGT’s NYX Players of the Month. July’s NYX Player of the Month for the Boys 15-18 division is Anton Li of Lake Mary, FL. Anton’s Player of the Month performance came from the Summer Classic at Eagle Creek on July 6-7 at Eagle Creek Golf Club. Li had rounds of 71 and 69 to earn him a six under finish on the par 73 at Eagle Creek. Li was most impressive on par fours where he averaged 3.9. Li also led with 33 holes at par or better. Li trailed the leaders by a shot after round one, but ended up with a two shot victory. In the Girls 15-18 Division, Norcross, GA’s Alissa Yang was named July’s NYX Player of the Month after she finished at even par, 142 to win the Nike Cup Series Event #6 at River Forest Golf Club in Forsyth, GA on July 27-28. Yang shot a one over 72 in round one, but answered with a one under 70 on Sunday to seal the impressive 16 stroke victory. Yang led in every statistical category as she dominated the field with seven birdies and 22 pars. Yang scored the best on the par fives with a 4.4 average. Austin Fulton of Villa Rica, GA has been named the July NYX Player of the Month in the Boys 11-14 Division after his stellar performance at the Nike Cup Series Event #5 at Canongate on White Oak on July 20-21. Fulton had rounds of 71 and 68 for a 139 (-5) total. Fulton trailed the leader by two shots after Saturday, but his Sunday 68 would not be denied as he won the event by three shots. Fulton had six birdies at the event, but led the division in pars with an impressive 29 pars. Fulton also led the field in par four performance with a 3.8 average on the White Oak par fours. The NYX Player of the Month for July in the Girls 11-14 Division is Sabrina Hoskins of Orlando, FL. Hoskins shot four over twice in July and won twice on tour. Her first win in July came on July 6-7 at the Summer Classic at Eagle Creek. There, Hoskins had rounds of 74 and 76 and won by three shots. More recently, Hoskins shot another four over total for a win at the College Prep Series at Clemson on July 22-23. At Clemson, Hoskins shot rounds of 73 and 71 at the par 70 Walker Course. Hoskins tied for the lead in birdies and led the field in pars as she won by five shots.
