The Nike Cup Series is moving right along as we roll through the hot summer, and the sixth installment of the Nike Cup Series will take place July 27-28 at River Forest Golf Club in Forsyth, GA. The Nike Cup Series is a partnership between Canongate and the HJGT that features outstanding golfers competing in eight events throughout the year. At the end of the year, leaders in the Nike Cup Points standings will face off with the Southeastern Junior Tour in a Ryder Cup style event. In addition to Nike Cup points, AJGA Performance Stars are up for grabs if the field size requirements are met. Winners in all divisions will receive an invitation to the 2013 Tour Championship. On top of all that, South Carolina Junior Golf Association Heritage Points and Tarheel Youth Golf Association points are up for grabs. Lastly, top ten finishers will earn points toward end of the year honors, which include All-HJGT teams, state teams, and points towards the inaugural  Hurricane Cup. Lastly, winners also will take home a $50 Kikkor Golf gift card. The 36-hole stroke play tournament will begin Saturday with a 12:00 noon start off both tees, and will conclude Sunday with a double tee start at 8:00AM. An awards ceremony will follow the completion of the final round.  Registration for members is $179 and $199 for non-members. River Forest Country Club, located just outside of Macon, GA is one of the many great courses in the Canongate family. The course features natural granite and well thought out bunkers and was designed by course superintendent Gary Wilder. River Forest opened in 2004 and is a favorite among Canongate members.
