The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour will be hosting the first of eight Nike Cup events the weekend of March 2-3 in Atlanta, GA as a result from a partnership between the HJGT and Canongate. All players are eligible to play in the Nike Cup events and top points earners from these 8 events will be invited to compete in the final Nike Cup event, a Ryder Cup style team that plays against the Southeastern Junior Tour’s top players. Canongate at Mirror Lake County Club will be hosting this tournament. The prestigious event will be ranked by the Junior Golf Scoreboard. Participants will also earn South Carolina Junior Golf Association Heritage Points and Tarheel Youth Golf Association Points. The winners of both the girl’s and boy’s 15-18 age divisions will take home four AJGA performance stars which will provide an exemption into an AJGA event. The winners will also receive an exemption towards the State of GA Big I Qualifier. A lot is at stake for this tournament which will bring out a very strong field and should make for a very compelling event.
The Nike Cup Series Event #1 will be played in the typical format of 36-hole stroke play. The tournament will kick off on Saturday at 8:00 am with all players starting at hole-one. Play will conclude on Sunday when players start at both holes one and ten at 8:00 am. As is typical for Hurricane Junior Golf Tour events there will be four age divisions including boy’s and girl’s 15-18 year-olds and boy’s and girl’s 11-14 year-olds.
The exquisite Mirror Lake Golf Club opened in 1999 as a 27-hole course and has since expanded to 36-holes. The course was designed by Rocky Roguemore and Jeff Burton. According to one member of the course, “These two courses are very challenging but the most fun I've had on a course! The crew has done an awesome job at keeping Mirror Lake one of the nicest courses around Atlanta”. It’s beautiful location on Mirror Lake makes it an extremely worthwhile trip.

About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 11-14 and Girls 15-18.
