The Nike Cup Series was brought to the HJGT through a partnership with Canongate Golf and the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. The partnership was formed with efforts to continue developing junior golfers and grow the game of golf. The Nike Cup Series #2 event will be held at the prestigious traditions of Braselton Golf Club. The Nike Cup Series events provide junior golfers the opportunity to earn valuable points towards the Nike Cup as well as the Hurricane cup. To check the standings for the Nike Cup and Hurricane Cup visit our site at www.hjgt.org, the hurricane cup standings are featured on the bottom left of the home page under the Hurricane Cup article and the Nike Cup standings can be seen from the home page under the rankings tab, click on Nike Cup standings. In addition to the aforementioned points players will earn points toward the South Carolina Junior Golf Association, Tarheel Youth Golf Association, and the event will earn rankings from National Junior Golf Scoreboard. From the boy’s and girl’s 15-18 division champions will be eligible to earn 4 AJGA performance stars. The champion of the boy’s 11-14 division will be eligible to earn 1 AJGA performance star. Eligibility for performance based stars is pending whether or not the minimum field size requirements are met. Top 10 finishers will receive point towards the Hurricane Cup and all HJGT teams. The tournament registration fee will be $149 for Canongate and HJGT members, $179 for HJGT members, and $199 for non-members. Tournament format will be 36-hole stroke play, with 18 holes played on Saturday and Sunday. Registration will take place Saturday from 11:00AM-1:00PM. The event will be a double tee start both days with tee times going off of holes #1 and #10 between 12:00PM-2:00PM, Saturday and 8:00AM-10:00AM, Sunday. The awards ceremony will follow play Sunday where the top 3 will be given trophies and players will be eligible to earn prizes such as Golf Pride grips and EFX bracelets. The host course is the Traditions of Braselton Golf Club in Jefferson, GA. The course meanders through an undulating landscape filled with winding creeks and ponds. Designed by Mike Dasher, who learned the ins and outs of the business from legendary course designer Arthur Hill, this course is great for both golf and aesthetics.

About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 15-18 and Girls 11-14.
