Boys 14-15 Tournament Summary
Jim (Yichen) Cai of Bradenton, Florida took home the National Championship of the Boys 14-15 division. Cai was able to secure the first place trophy after an intense playoff with Artem Yalovenko of Windermere, Florida. Both gentleman shot an outstanding two-day total of 147 and had to return to the 1st hole to decide a winner. Cai was able to edge out Yalovenko by safely two putting for par, while latter could not save par after having a couple tough shots out of the bunkers. Cai shot even at 72 during the first round to keep pace with the Yalovenko, who shot an impressive 71 total on day one. Cai was able to get the playoff on the second day which lead to his eventual victory. When it was all said and done, the Boys 14-15 National Championship was very exciting and the players had a blast during the event. We would like to thank all the players for participating!
