Minnesota Kickoff at Northfork
June 24-25, 2017
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour was in Ramsey, Minnesota June 24th and June 25th for the Minnesota Kickoff. This event was hosted at the beautiful The Links at Northfork. The field consisted mostly of players from Minnesota but there were a few players that made the trip from surrounding states. The first round was faced with difficult weather conditions including high winds and some afternoon rain that delayed play for 45 minutes. Although the conditions were not the best for scoring low, players still managed to post some solid scores. The high winds continued into the second round but the players were more prepared this time around and the scores showed. Despite the difficult weather conditions, players showed great attitudes and were professional throughout the weekend. The top 3 finishers in each age division will receive an exemption into the 2017 National Championship December 2-3 2017 and the top 10 finishers from each age division receive points towards year end honors which include state teams, all HJGT teams, and the Hurricane Cup.
