HJGT unveils new member/guest events
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour is excited to announce the installment of the Summer Series Member-Guest events. On the day before the first round of the tournament, participants will team up with a guest of their choice to go head to head with other HJGT member-guest teams. The cost for each event will be $145 per team and will include 18 holes, dinner, gift certificate payouts for the top 3 teams in each division, on course contests, and so much more. This series is perfect for anyone traveling with a junior golfer to the event including but not limited to parents, brother, sisters, friends, and grandparents. On the tournament info page you will see an option for an “All Inclusive” entry fee, which will cover both the tournament rounds and the member guest event. There are a total of four dates that will feature the Summer Series Member-Guest Events. The schedule is as follows. The member’s will play from the HJGT tees and scores will not be handicapped. The guests, however, will be handicapped and will play from tees that will be determined by their handicap. Prizes will be awarded to top 3 teams in each age division (4 total age divisions). Winners in each division will receive 125 Hurricane Bucks, the second place team will receive 75 Hurricane Bucks, and third place finishers will receive 50 Hurricane Bucks to be used for future HJGT events. Tee times will be between 12-2pm the day before the actual junior event. This is a perfect opportunity to experience tournament golf in a fun environment while practicing for the main event. About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 11-14 and Girls 15-18. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, and Ohio.
