The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour will be hosting a Major Championship on May 10-11 in Centerville, Ohio. Being played at The Golf Club at Yankee Trace, this event will feature one of a kind amenities and rewards. Special to this event are the use of caddies by all competitors. The Major Championship at Yankee Trace is open to all junior golfers between the ages of 11-18. This tournament has a lot up for grabs. The champion in each division will win AJGA Performance Stars if their respective field size requirements are met. Junior Golf Scoreboard rankings will be awarded to all divisions. The winners in each division will receive an automatic bid into the HJGT 2014 Tour Championship and Mid-Season Invitational. Additionally, the top 20 finishers will receive points towards year end honors which include state teams, ALL HJGT teams and the Hurricane Cup. The event will be a two day, 36-hole, stroke play tournament. The first round will begin on Saturday with a single tee start running from 9AM-1PM. The second round, on Sunday, will also be a single tee start with times ranging from 9AM-1PM. The registration fee is $185 for members and $215 for non-members. Due to the hard work and dedication of all those involved, Yankee Trace is able to offer amenities unmatched by any public course in the region. The course has received multiple distinctions, including a 4.5 star rating from Golf Digest, Top 10 municipal courses in the country, Top 50 courses with green fees under $50, and awarded best course in the region by the Dayton Daily News.

About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 11-14 and Girls 15-18.
