Major Championship rolls into Atlanta area

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) will take a trip up to Woodstock, GA to host the Major Championship at Bradshaw Farms on September 22nd and 23rd. The tournament will be held on the White and Blue courses of Bradshaw Farms. Players will definitely be at their best during this tournament, as they will be competing for a large number of exemptions, rankings, and prizes. There will be the highly sought after AJGA performance stars available to winners in both Boys and Girls 15-18 age division. The winners in every division receive an automatic bid to the year-end Tour Championship, South Carolina Junior Golf Association Heritage Points, and the event will be ranked by the National Junior Golf Scoreboard. Also since this is a Major Championship the players will receive 1.5 times the normal point’s structure. The Major Championship at Bradshaw Farms will be played under a stroke play format and will span two days of competition. Each day players will play eighteen (18) holes of golf, to make for a thirty-six (36) hole tournament in total. There will be four separate divisions for competition. Players will be put in divisions based on age and the divisions will be as follows: Boys 15-18, Girls 15-18, Boys 11-14, and Girls 11-14. Bradshaw Farms is one of the leading golf resorts in the entire state. The White and Blue nines come together to create a quite a 18 hole test for a golfer of any competency. The courses offer a wide array of teeing options to create various lengths, with the longest being 6,939. The course was designed to be both challenging as well as aesthetically pleasing. Bradshaw Farms includes very enjoyable par threes complimented by the course’s impressive water features. Participants will be sure to find Bradshaw Farms to be very challenging and engaging as well.
