The Major Championship at Makefield Highland
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour is excited for another Major Championship! The Major Championship at Makefield Highland will be played on Tuesday, July 15 and Wednesday, July 16 at the Makefield Highland Golf Course in Yardley, Pennsylvania. At all Major Championships, there are more Hurricane Cup Points available than other events. Also special to Major Championships only, players may elect to use a caddie. You can play like a real life PGA player and have your caddie wearing a personalized caddie bib! The Major Championship at Makefield Highland is open to all golfers between the ages of 11-18. At stake during this tournament are Junior Golf Scoreboard Rankings (JGS), AJGA Performance Stars if the respective field sizes are met within each age division, an automatic bid into the 2014 Tour Championship, as well as the top 20 finishers from each division will receive points toward year end honors which include state teams, ALL HJGT teams, and Hurricane Cup Points. This is a two day 36-hole event. The first round will begin on Tuesday, July 15th with a single tee start running from 7:30-10:30AM. The second round, on Wednesday, July 16th, will begin with a single tee start at 7:30AM-10:30AM. The registration fee is $185 for members and $215 for non-members. Makefield Highland Golf Course is a public course with a private feel. The course is less than 10 years old and intends to be a leader in public courses. This Pennsylvania course offers a fun and challenging track for golfers of all ages!

About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 11-14 and Girls 15-18. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, New Jersey, Maryland, Mississippi, New York, and Pennsylvania.
