Grove City, OH (May 5, 2013) – The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour made its second trip to Columbus, OH for the Major Championship at Phoenix. The event was played at the Phoenix Golf Links in Grove City, Ohio.  Since this was a Major Championship players were allowed to use caddies for the third time this season. The links style course presented an unusual challenge to players for this weekend’s tournament which led to higher scores on day one. The weather for the tournament was as good as we could have asked for in Ohio during early May. Both Saturday and Sunday were in the low 70’s with very few clouds in the sky. The Junior Golf Scoreboard ranked this event and the winners of all four divisions received automatic bids to the 2013 Tour Championship.  HJGT points were also earned which will go towards year-end honors including All-HJGT Teams and the Hurricane Cup.
