The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour will head to Taylors, South Carolina to host the Major Championship at Pebble Creek on October 12-13. The tournament, which will be held at Pebble Creek Golf Club, will be ranked by the National Junior Golf Scoreboard Ranking. The Boys 15-18 Champion will win four AJGA performance stars and the rest of the top five will earn one each. The Girls 15-18 Division champion will earn four performance stars and the Boys 11-14 Champion will earn one performance star if the field size requirements are met. Those winners will also receive a $50 Kikkor Golf gift card. The winners, along with other top 20 finishers, will receive double points towards year-end honors. Those points will also count towards the 2013 inaugural Hurricane Cup. Players can also earn points for the South Carolina Junior Golf Association Heritage (SCJGA) and the Tarheel Youth Golf Association (TYGA). Along with all Hurricane Junior Golf Tour Majors, and an invitation to the HJGT’s 2013 Tour Championship is up for grabs and caddies are allowed. The Major Championship at Pebble Creek will be a 36 hole stroke play event. The first round will begin on Saturday with a single tee start, running from 8:00 AM-12:00PM. The final round will also be a single tee start on Sunday with times ranging from 8:00AM-12:00PM. The registration fee is $179 for members and $199 for non-members. The semi-private Creekside course measures almost 6,500 yards and is playable for golfers of all ability levels.

About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment.
