Major at Pumpkin Ridge Recap - April 2-3

Major Championship at Pumpkin Ridge

April 2-3, 2016

On Thurs., March 31, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour traveled to North Plains, Ore., to host the Major Championship at Pumpkin Ridge. With great weather in the forecast at the Ghost Creek course at Pumpkin Ridge, the kids were ready to make their mark on the tour’s Northwest region. The weather for the tournament days couldn’t have been better. Saturday weather was sunny with a breeze, which made for a great way to start out the tournament. The weather stayed the same on Sunday, making it beautiful for some golf. On both days, the field of players received near ideal conditions, minus some windy spurts during the day, which led to great scoring. The HJGT would like to thank the Pumpkin Ridge staff for allowing us to host our Major Championship at a great venue. Top three finishers in each division received an invitation to the HJGT 2016 Druh Belts Mid Season Invitational on June 11-13. Division winners also received an invitation to the HJGT 2016 Tour Championship on Dec. 3-4. Junior Golf Scoreboard ranking was awarded to the Boys 16-18 division.
