The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) invites you to play in the Louisiana Fall Challenge. This event will be held at the Santa Maria GC in Baton Rouge, LA on November 7-8. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to play one of Louisiana's premier golf courses! The Louisiana Fall Challenge is open to all golfers between the ages of 11-18. The event will have Junior Golf Scoreboard Ranking (JGS) and winners in each division will receive an exemption into the 2015 Tour Championship December 5-6, 2015. Both rounds will begin with a single tee start from 9:00-11:00 PM. Registration for members is $189 and for non-members is $234. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., Santa Maria Golf Course is built on 150 acres of rolling terrain, featuring 18 lakes and two natural waterways. This is the perfect memorable setting to test your golf skills, complete with sand bunkers, exquisite Bermuda fairways and mature oaks. The 18-hole course measures 6,969 yards in length from the championship tees. The Spanish-style clubhouse includes a pro shop, a full-service restaurant and a private conference/dining room and fitness center. Champions Grill overlooks the beautiful par-five finishing hole, and you’ll want to stop in for a meal or drinks after your round. Santa Maria underwent the course’s only major renovation from May 2005-May 2006 with more than $2.1 million of improvements. Santa Maria Golf Course improved in every major way, including new greenside and fairway bunkers and a restoration of Robert Trent Jones, Sr.’s original design. The course also brought Baton Rouge golf a new concession stand, enhanced clubhouse facilities, reshaping and replanting of tees, greens and fairways, new bulkheads and sheet pilings along waterways, new restrooms, and major repairs to cart paths helped complete this renovation.Santa Maria Golf Course has a history of being recognized as one of the best public golf courses in southeast Louisiana; having received Golf Digest’s highest ranking for a municipal course. About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than another other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 8 years. There are several factors that set us apart from the competition which we call #TheHurricaneDifference. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2015 the HJGT will conduct events in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Louisiana, Mississippi, Massachusetts and Connecticut. Juniors will compete in 1 of 5 divisions which are: Boys 15-18, Boys 13-14, Boys 11-12, Girls 15-18, and Girls 11-14. Memberships for the 2015 season start at $139 and tournament fees range from $189-$229 for 36 hole events. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning January 1.
