Laurel Hill Junior Shootout

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) invites you to play in the Laurel Hill Junior Shootout! This event will be held at Laurel Hill Golf Club in Lorton, Va. on March 26-27. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to play one of Virginia’s premier courses! This event is a two-day, 36-hole event. Both rounds will begin with a single tee start from 12:00 p.m. 3:00 p.m. Registration for members is $209 and $259 for non-members. The Laurel Hill Junior Shootout is open to all golfers between the ages of 8-18. The event will have Junior Golf Scoreboard Ranking (JGS), Tarheel Youth Golf Association Points (TYGA), winners in each division will receive an invitation to the 2016 Tour Championship on Dec. 3-4, top three in each division will receive an invitation to the 2016 Druh Belts Mid Season Invitational at Chateau Elan on June 11-13, and top-10 finishers receive points towards year end honors which include state teams, all HJGT teams, and the Hurricane Cup.
American Junior Golf Association
- This event does not have guaranteed AJGA stars. If this event meets the minimum requirements for any age division we will submit it to the AJGA for consideration. The minimums are as follows: Boys 14-15/Boys 16-18 = 40 players, Boys 11-13 = 20 players, Girls 14-18 = 12 players, and Girls under 13 = 6 players.
Junior Golf Scoreboard
- Any division in which five or more competitors complete at least a 36-hole event.
Laurel Hill Golf Club is a Bill Love design, a course that pays homage to America’s classic courses with the area’s natural landscape reigning supreme. Laurel Hill played host to the U.S. Amateur Public Links tournament in 2013. The course is also built on land that formerly housed the D.C. Department of Corrections facility. Yardages for this event are as follows: Boys 10U: 4,961; Girls 13U: 5,013; Boys 11-13/Girls 14-18: 5,695; Boys 14-15/Boys 16-18: 6,620.
