The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) invites you to play in the Las Vegas Parent/Child and stroke play. This event will be held at the Revere Golf Club-Lexington Course in Henderson, Nevada on April 23-24. Don’t miss out on the great opportunity to play in our first ever parent/child event at one of Las Vegas’ premier golf venues! The Las Vegas Parent/Child and stroke play is open to all junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and their parents. This is a 2-day, 36-hole nationally ranked event, with Junior Golf Scoreboard Rankings (JGS) and possible AJGA stars at stake. Juniors will still compete against other juniors in their divisions for rankings and trophies like any HJGT event. Parents who register as a team will tee off after their junior in competition against other parent/child teams. Junior golfers may register for this event alone and compete against other juniors without being apart of the parent/child portion. Golfers must be in relation to the junior in one of the following ways: parent, grandparent, aunt, or uncle. The parent/child teams will not play together because this is still a competitive event with rankings at stake. The HJGT policies, pace of play, code of conduct, and spectator policies will still be in effect for this event. Parents will not be permitted to drink or use tobacco products and must still abide to the normal HJGT spectator polices. This means they may not give advice or help their junior in any way, even if they are participating in the event. They may, however, use carts during the round, but juniors will not be permitted in the carts. Scoring for the Las Vegas Parent/Child and stroke play will be the same for juniors as a usual HJGT event. As juniors finish their round, scores will be recorded in the same event format. Juniors that are participating in the parent/child tournament will have their scores recorded as well. As parents finish the round, their scores will be adjusted and recorded based on their handicap. Female parents will be playing from 5,200 yards and male parents will be playing from 6,200 yards. Parents may only compete with one junior golfer on a team. Winners in each division for the Las Vegas Parent/Child and stroke play will receive an exemption into the 2016 Tour Championship December 3-4, 2016. The Top 3 in each division will receive an exemption into the 2016 Mid Season Invitational at Chateau Elan on June 11-13 2016 and top 10 finishers receive points towards year end honors which include state teams, all HJGT teams, and the Hurricane Cup. This event will be held April 23-24 and both rounds will begin with a single tee starting at 11:00 A.M and ending at 2:00 P.M. Registration for this event is as follows: Individual Junior Member: $199, Individual Junior Non-Member: $249, Parent/Child Team: $389. The deadline for this event will be April 13, 2016. Our goal is to make this an annual destination event for our players to not only compete against other junior golfers, but also have the opportunity for a family bonding experience in one of America’s greatest cities! The Revere Golf Club is well known in the Las Vegas area because of its beautiful views and magnificent greens.

About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than another other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 8 years. There are several factors that set us apart from the competition which we call #TheHurricaneDifference. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2016 the HJGT will expand to Texas, California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, and Washington as well as Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Louisiana, Mississippi, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13.
