Pawleys Island, S.C. – The Gardner-Webb men’s golf team posted three sub par rounds on Tuesday morning to record a team score of 282, -6 under par, to finish in a tie for third-place overall at the 2013 Golfweek Program Challenge hosted by Golfweek Magazine at the True Blue Golf Resort in Pawleys Island, S.C. The Runnin’ Bulldogs were led by sophomore Clement Kurniawan who posted a GWU low round of 68, -4 under par on Monday, and a 70, -2 under par, on Tuesday to go along with a first round 74, +2, to finish in seventh-place overall with a combined score of 212, -4 under par. Kurniawan carded 13 birdies over the three-round event. Kurniawan competed in the Hurricane Collegiate Amateur Tour over the summer winning first place at the Augusta Collegiate Amateur and finishing second in the Atlanta Collegiate Amateur tournament.
