The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour will be traveling back to Kodak, TN when they host the Knoxville Junior Open. This tournament is the first time the HJGT will return Tennessee in the 2014 season. Hosting the event is east Tennessee's #1 Golf Course, River Islands Golf Club. This course was created to rival the country's most prestigious golf clubs and bring world class golf to Tennessee. The Knoxville Junior Open is open to all junior golfers between the ages of 11-18. This tournament has a lot up for grabs. The champion in each division will win AJGA Performance Stars if their respective field size requirements are met. Junior Golf Scoreboard rankings will be awarded as well as Tarheel Youth Golf Association points. Winners in each division will receive an automatic bid into the HJGT 2014 Tour Championship and Mid-Season Invitational. Additionally, the top ten finishers will receive points towards year end honors which include state teams, ALL HJGT teams and the Hurricane Cup. The event will be a two day, 36-hole, stroke play tournament. The first round will begin on Saturday with a single tee start running from 9AM-12PM. The second round, on Sunday, will also be a single tee start with times ranging from 9AM-12PM. The registration fee is $185 for members and $215 for non-members. About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment.
