
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour is making their first ever trip to Tennessee for the Knoxville Junior Open March 16-17. The event will be taking place at the River Islands Golf Club. All four winners from this event will be rewarded with a bid to the 2013 Tour Championship. The top ten finishers in all four divisions will receive points towards the 2013 Hurricane Cup, as well as All-HJGT teams. This event will be ranked by the Junior Golf Scoreboard. The event will be ran in typical 36 hole stroke play format. There will be four divisions, the boy’s and girl’s 15-18 age divisions as well as the boy’s and girl’s 11-14 age divisions. Tee times on both days will run from 9:00 am-12:00 pm and all competitors will be starting off the 1st tee. The awards ceremony will take place on day two at approximately 5:00 pm. The golf course is set on 175 acres located between the Great Smoky Mountains and Knoxville and offers breathtaking views including bald eagles soaring above. About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 15-18 and Girls 11-14.
