    On Thursday, July 6th, 2017, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour traveled to Knoxville, Tennessee to host the Championship at Crescent Farms Golf Course. The players endured a high of 89 degrees on both Saturday and Sunday, with only blue skies and a hint of morning wind.  Aside from getting the best weather a golfer could ask for, players stepped up to the challenge of Crescent Farm Golf Course and gave it everything they had. There was quite a bit at stake in this tournament with the top three in each division receiving exemption into the 2017 National Championship. The top 10 in each division would also receive points towards end of the year honors which includes State teams, All HJGT Teams, and the Hurricane Cup.   Boys 16-18

Ethan Hayes, from Gatlinburg, Tennessee was the winner of the Boys 16-18 division.  He shot a 79 1st round, and a 78 2nd round, for a total of 157. Ethan showed that consistency was key as he was able to win by just one stroke over second place. The second place finisher was Colin Trahan from North Augusta, South Carolina. In the 1st round he shot a 77, and followed it up with an 81 in the second round for a total of 158.  The third place was awarded to Joey Collins from McDonough, Georgia. He shot a 79 the 1st round, and an 82 the second round for a total of 161. These boys showed great skill in a very well contested division.   Boys 14-15

Tarun Hoskere from Jonesborough, Tennessee won 1st place in the Boys 14-15 division. He shot a 79 first round and a 75 in the second round for a total of 154. Jack Tickle from Bristol, Tennessee placed 2nd in this division.  He shot an 84 first round and 75 second round for a total of 159.  Third place winner from this age division was Carter Counts , from Johnson City, Tennessee. He remained very consistent on both days shooting an 81 first round and 81 second round for a total of 162. These boys showed tremendous fortitude while trekking through this difficult course.   Boys 11-13

Boys 11-13 knoxville

Bo Maradik from Nashville, Tennesee took home 1st place in the Boys 11-13 division. He shot an 83 first round and improved by 7 strokes to shoot a 76 second round for a total of 159. Charles Warren, from Huntsville, AL, took second place with a 88 first round, 77 second round for a total of 165.  Third place went to Taylor Ray, of Knoxville, Tennessee.  He shot an 86 first round and a 90 second round for a total of 176. These boys did an excellent job, with most of them showing great improvements from the first day to the second day.     Girls 14-18

Girls 14-18 knoxville

Aubrey Guyton from Cape Girardeau, Missouri took first place in the Girls 14-18 division.  She shot an 82 first round, and an 88 second round for a total of 170 on the weekend.  Second place went to Harper Cherry, from Waverly, Kentucky.  She shot a 91 first round and and a 80 second round for a total of 171.  Third place went to Parker Perry, from St Louis, Missouri.  She shot a 82  first round and an 94 second round for a total of 176. These girls performed very well this weekend on a difficult course.       Boys U10

The winner of the Boys 10u age divisions was Weston Miller, from Jackson, Kentucky. He shot an 86 first round and an 88 second round for a total of 174. The second place was awarded to Tommy Smith from Jasper, GA, he shot an 85 first round and a 92 for second round for a total of 177. Excellent job to both of these boys this weekend, thank you for coming out and competing with us.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
