The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour will be heading down to Miami, Florida when they host the InstaGolf Miami Junior Challenge on February 8-9. This tournament is open to all junior golfers between the ages of 11-18. Being played at the esteemed Country Club of Miami, this tournament has a lot at stake. The champion in each division will win AJGA Performance Stars if their respective field size requirements are met. National Junior Golf Scoreboard rankings will be awarded as well as Florida Junior Tour Exemptions. Winners in each division will receive an automatic bid into the HJGT 2014 Tour Championship and Mid-Season Invitational. Additionally, the top 10 finishers will receive points towards year end honors, state teams, ALL HJGT teams and the Hurricane Cup. The InstaGolf Miami Junior Challenge will be a 36-hole stroke play event. The first round will begin on Saturday with a single tee start running from 9AM-1PM. The final round will also be a single tee start on Sunday with times ranging from 8AM-12PM. The registration fee is $185 for members and $215 for non-members. For 2014 membership information please refer to our website. The Country Club of Miami offers two beautifully manicured golf courses. The InstaGolf Miami Junior Challenge tournament will be taking place at the West course with lush fairways, newly re-grassed greens and multiple championship holes. A Robert Trent Jones design, the club was founded in 1961 with Arnold Palmer as its first professional. Several other celebrity golfers have graced the greens here including Jackie Gleason, Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Jack Nicklaus and Lee Trevino. The Country Club of Miami West Course, a 7,017-yard par-72 course with a slope of 132, hosted the 1991 Senior PGA Tour National Qualifying School. It includes treacherous bunkers, magnificent fairways, and rolling greens that offer a challenging adventure. The course was the original site for the former National Airlines Open.

About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 11-14 and Girls 15-18.
