Hunter’s Green Junior Classic Tampa, FL
(July 11- July 12, 2016)
Tee-off in the Tropic
On Sunday July 10, 2016 the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour traveled to Tampa, FL to host the Hunter’s Green Junior Classic at the stunning Hunter’s Green Country Club. We had clear skies for the two days off competition with temperatures reaching the low 90’s both days. Despite the intense heat and crippling humidity the junior golfers still produced some amazing scores. The HJGT would like to thank the Hunter’ Green Country Club staff for allowing us to host our tournament at their gorgeous venue. AJGA Performance Stars were up for grabs this weekend, the top three winners in each age division were awarded an exemption into the 2016 National Championship in Champions Gate, FL on December 3-4th, and the top ten finishers also received points towards year-end honors. Once that first tee shot soared through the air, the golfers were ready to put their clubs to the ball and make their mark on the course.

The boys 16-18 year old age group had some extremely tight competition this weekend with the first, second and third place finishers only being separated by one stroke a piece.
