HJGT Sets Eye on Charlotte
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) will host the Charlotte Junior Challenge at the Skybrook Golf Club in Huntersville, NC, April 14-15, 2012. This will be the first trip to Charlotte, NC, that the HJGT makes this year. The Skybrook Golf Club is unique to the North Carolina region, and will prove to be one of the best courses on the 2012 HJGT schedule. The Charlotte Junior Challenge will feature 36-holes of stroke play on the club’s 18 hole course across four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 15-18 and Girls 11-14. The tournament will provide junior golfers many chances to compete for winning and other opportunities. There will be South Carolina Junior Golf Association Heritage Points available at stake as well as Tar Heel Youth Golf Association Points. The tournament will be ranked by the National Junior Golf Scoreboard. Winners in each division will receive an automatic bid into the 2012 Tour Championship, and the Top 10 winners will earn points towards year end honors. Premium members will compete in the Bridgestone Challenge. Winners of the challenge in each division receive a dozen of B330 Golf Balls and Bridgestone Hat. Also in the tournaments, the winners in each of the age divisions will receive a free pair of Kikkor Golf shoes. The HJGT would also like to extend a special promotion to all players new to the tour, any player who has not played in a HJGT tournament before can register for their first tournament for only $99, call the HJGT headquarters for more information! The Skybrook Golf Club is located in the magnificent Skybrook neighborhood in beautiful Huntersville, NC. The course is a John LaFoy Championship course. The course offers golfers over 7,000 yards of remarkable play on the clubs scenic fairways and majestic greens. Because of its mountain-like nature, elevations of the course bring a more challenging aspect to all golfers who wish to play this spectacular course.
