Partnership Promises Multiple Opportunities for Junior Golfers
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) is excited to announce that they will be bringing three events to the state of Louisiana in 2015. This will be HJGT's first year administering events in Louisiana, and they will not do it alone. HJGT and USSSA Golf have teamed up to honor their mission and provide an amazing opportunity for junior golfers in the area to play on a national tour. Enhancing golf skills, providing quality competition, and teaching the values of the game of golf are passions that both USSSA Golf and the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour share. HJGT and USSSA Golf will work together to promote these events and increase awareness. The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT), through the hard work of Executive Director Mario Conte, is now one of the largest junior golf tours on the east coast. The tour has created a national-elite opportunity for junior golfers at a competitive level, while playing at only the top venues in the United States. HJGT has a golden reputation as one of the most prestigious golf tours in the country because of its superior competition, high quality venues, state of the art technology, highly-trained staff, exclusive social media & public relations, developed pace-of-play policy, attentive customer service, and the highest quality course set up and markings. Robert Boudreaux’s desire to reach to youth and embrace the game of golf in his area has made this an exciting opportunity for both organizations. The HJGT will be administering 165 events in 18 states, which will help make 2015 the best year ever to compete on a national tour! There will also be more competitive age divisions which include:
- Boys 11-12, 13-14, 15-18
- Girls 11-14, 15-18
The USSSA believes that all amateur athletes should be given the opportunity to compete in championship events in their chosen sport, no matter the level of their abilities, and that they should be allowed to qualify for sport championships, whether it be on the local level, or the national level. All championship events should be of the highest quality. All decisions made by the association are made with the best interest of the players, coaches, fans and recreation administrators in mind.
