To secure first, Max shot a par on hole 1 of the two man playoff with Austin Hitt. During the Orlando Jr. Challenge, Max was able to score 29 pars, which led the field, propelling him to victory.

In 2012, Max was the champion for the prestigious Central Florida Junior Classic. Max, started the second round trailing by three strokes to both Alex Shattuck of Lake Mary, Florida and Manuel Torres of Orlando, Florida. Max responded nicely to this deficit by beginning the second round with 7 consecutive pars followed by a birdie on a long par 5 fifth hole. By the end of the second round, Max finished with a total score of 141(-3), in addition to winning the Par 5 Performance Challenge with an average of 4.38.

Max has been an outstanding player not only on the HJGT tour, but at the Bowling Green University as well.
