HJGT 2016 All HJGT TEAM and Player Of the Year

ALL HJGT TEAM: 

Boys 16-18 Division

Player of the Year: Callum Brown Callum Brown, 18, of Stuart, Florida is this year’s Player of the Year in the  Boys 16-18 Division. Callum played in 13 of our events this year. He finished in  the top 10 at 7 different tournaments and placed first at the TPC Prestancia Junior Classic, the LPGA Junior Challenge and the Space Coast Junior Open. Because of his impressive results, he was  invited to play in the Tournament of Champions at our National Championship. Callum’s best score of the season, a 70, was during the LPGA Junior Challenge, where he was able to claim the trophy with an impressive 140 two-day total. He finished the year with 6,375 points. We congratulate Callum and cannot wait to see him next year, as he tries to defend his title!

2nd Place: David Frank David Frank, 16, of Dunwoody, Georgia finished the year second on the All HJGT Team. He came in a close second with a total of 6,070.83 points.  David participated and played well in 11 events this season. He placed first at  two tournaments, including the Canongate Series #5 and the The Druh Belts Mid Season Invitational. David’s lowest score of the season was at The Druh Belts Mid Season Invitational with a 69 in the third round. Congratulations on making the 2015 All HJGT team, David, and we look forward to seeing you on tour with us again next year!

3rd place: Conner Conkel Conner Conkel, 18, of Buford, Georgia comes in third place this year on the  All HJGT Team. He played in 10 events this year and received 5,618.33 points all together. Conner was able to win second place at the 54 hole Challenge at Greystone, where he stayed consistent and shot a three-day-total of  218. His lowest score of 72 was during this tournament as well. Congrats Conner!     All HJGT Team:  Boys 14-15 Division

Player of the Year: Matthew Garside Matthew Garside, 15, of Vadnais Heights, Minnesota is this year’s Player of the Year in the Boys 14-15 Division. Matthew played in 14 of our northern events this year.  He had an impressive nine first place and two runner up finishes throughout the season. Matthew’s best score of the season was a 69 during the first round of the Major Championship at the Wilds. He finished the year with 14,050.00  points. We look forward to having Matthew’s talent on tour with us again next year!

2nd Place: Brandon Cho Brandon Cho, 14, of Suwanee, Georgia finished the year second on the All HJGT Team. He placed first through three tournaments, including the Major Championship at Blue Heron, and was able to win second place at four more tournaments. Brandon’s lowest score of the season was at the Major Championship at Blue Heron with a 71 during the first round. He finished the year with 10,837.50 points. Congrats on your accomplishments this year Brandon!

3rd place: Matthew Soucinek Matthew Soucinek, 15, of Lake City, Florida comes in third place this year on the All HJGT Team. He played in 13 events this year and received 9,800 points through six first place finishes. He was able to claim five second place finishes as well. For twelve out of the thirteen tournaments, he placed in the top 10. His lowest score was a 71, shot at the Tampa Bay Junior Shootout. Player of the Year: Jonathan Griz Jonathan Griz, 12, of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina is this year’s Player of the Year in the Boys 11-13 Division. Jonathan played in 15 of our events this year. He won an  impressive 12 tournaments and was seated no higher than fourth place all year. He  recently placed fourth at the Tournament of Champions out of 67.  Jonathan's best score of the season a 67, which he was able to shoot both at the Golden Bear Junior Shootout and the Charleston Junior Shootout as well.  He finished the year with an impressive 17,450.00 points. We look forward to watching this talented young golfer play next year on tour with us!

2nd Place: Evan Reed Evan Reed, 13, of Shelbyville, Tennessee finished the year second on the All HJGT Team. He came in second with a total of 14,500 points. Evan participated and played very well in 17 events this season. He placed first in 5 tournaments and never finished lower than sixth place. He was invited to the National Championship and was able to claim the championship title as well. Evan placed in the top ten in 16 out of the 17 tournaments he participated in. Evan’s lowest score of the season was at the Nashville Junior Open with an impressive 66.  Congrats Evan for making the All HJGT Team!

3rd place: Brendan Valdes Brendan Valdes, 13, of Orlando, Florida finished his year third on the All HJGT Team. He was a first place winner at six tournaments and received second place at all of the other tournaments he played this season. More importantly, he recently won second place at  the National  Championship for the Boys 11-13 Division, out of the 67 best  players in this age group from the tour. His lowest score was a 67 during the first round at the Central Florida Junior Open.  He finished the year with 13875 points. Congratulations Brendan!     ALL HJGT TEAM: Boys U10 Division

1st Place: Gavin Flemming Gavin Flemming, 9, of Jacksonville, Florida was this year's player of the year of the Boys U10 division. Gavin played 9 tournaments with the HJGT this year and was able to finish in the top ten in all of those, winning six of them. Gavin won a spot for the National Championship and he was able to score an impressive two day total of 144, which allowed him to claim the title. Gavin also shot his lowest score of the season at this event, a 70 in both of his rounds. He finished the year with a total of 11,450 points. Congratulations Gavin, we look forward to have you on tour with us next season as well!

2nd Place: Jonathan Elter Jonathan Elter, 9, of Naples, Florida was this year's second place finisher on the All HJGT team. Jonathan played 7 tournament with us this year and was able to win 6 of them, including the Major Championship at Skybrook, where he also posted his lowest score of the year, an 81 in the first round. He finished the year with a total score of 10,001.27. Congratulations Jonathan on a great year!

3rd Place: Dane LaFollette Dane LaFollette, 9 of New York, New york was this year's third place finisher on the All HJGT team for the Boys U10 division. Dane played in 8 events on the tour with us this year and was able to claim 6 titles of those 8. Dane's latest tournament was the National Championship. Thank you for playing with us Dane and we look forward to see you on tour next year!     ALL HJGT TEAM: Girls 14-18 Division

 Player of the Year: Hanna Kiefer Hanna Kiefer, of Kronberg, Germany is this year’s Player of the Year in the Girls 14-18 Division. Hanna played in 11 of our  events this year and had six first place finishes.  She shot a 71 during the Hilton Head Junior Challenge, which was her highest score of the season.  She finished the year with 8,825 points. Congratulations Hanna on being Player of the Year!

2nd Place: Carson McKie Carson McKie, 17, of Hoover, Alabama finished the year second on the All HJGT Team. She fell behind Hanna with a total of 7,487.50 points. Carson participated in 8 events this season; 7 of these 8 tournaments placing below sixth place. She was able to claim the title at 4 tournaments this year.  Carol’s lowest score of the season was at the Nashville Junior Open with a 76. We can’t wait to have you again on tour with us next year!

 3rd place: Jacque Crossland Jacque Crossland, 16, of Manchester, Tennessee comes in third place this year on the All HJGT Team. She played in 10 events this year and received 6,475 points overall. She was able to claim the title at the Major Championship at Bear Trace, and finished second at 3 tournaments this season. Her lowest score was a 77, which she placed at the Nashville Junior Open. Congrats on making the All HJGT Team Jacque and we look forward to have you on tour with us next year!     ALL HJGT TEAM: Girls 11-13 Division

Player of the Year: Sierra Fink Sierra Fink, 13, of Tyrone, Georgia is this year’s Player of the Year in the Girls 11-13 Division. Sarah played in more events  than anyone else on tour this year, traveling during every month to play in 24 tournaments. She won nine tournaments and managed to finish in the top ten in all 24 tournaments. She finished the year with 23,200 points. Congratulations Sierra- we look forward to seeing you again next year!

2nd Place: Savannah Hylton  Savannah Hylton, of Hilton Head, South Carolina finished the year second on the All HJGT Team. She followed behind Sierra with a total of 18,125.00 points. Savannah participated in 19 events this season and won 11 tournaments. She shot her lowest score of 72 at the Jekyll Island Junior Challenge, during the first round. Thanks for playing with us this year on tour!

3rd place: Sara Im  Sara Im, 11, of Duluth, Georgia comes in third place this year on the All HJGT Team. She played well during all of her 10 events this year and received 12,937.50 points through five first place finishes. She also finished second in four tournaments, including the Bears Best Junior Shootout, College Prep Series at UGA, The Druh Belts Mid Season Invitational, Canongate Series #3 (54 holes), and the Canongate Series #2. She also had two fourth place finishes. Congrats Sara!
