HJ Gloves Saint Louis Jr Open
(July 1-2, 2017)
On Thursday, June 29th, 2017, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour traveled to St. Louis to host the HJ Gloves Saint Louis Jr Open. The players endured a high of 89 degrees on both Saturday and Sunday, with only blue skies and a hint of morning wind. Aside from getting the best weather a golfer could ask for, players stepped up to the challenge of Crescent Farm Golf Course and gave it everything they had.
Colin Stolze, from Kirkwood, Missouri was the winner of the Boys 16-18 division. He shot a 73 1st round, and a 73 2nd round, for a total of 146. The second place finisher was Michael Bugyis from Des Peres, Missouri. The 1st round he shot a 79, and a 76 the second round for a total of 155. The third place was awarded to Zach Walsh from Clarkson Valley, Missouri. He shot a 79 the 1st round, and a 77 the second round for a total of 156. These boys demonstrated great skill as they took on a difficult golf course.
Tyler Linenbroker from Chesterfield, Missouri won 1st place in the Boys 14-15 division. He shot a 76 first round and a 79 in the second round for a total of 155. There was a three way tie for second place, Curtis Hastie of Frontenac, Missouri shot a 88 first round and 79 second round for a total of 167. Another Second place winner from this age division was Jonah Burgess, from Farmington, Missouri. He shot a 81 first round and 86 second round for a total of 167. The Third Second place would be Carsen Silliman, from Jackson Missouri, hit an 84 first round and an 83 second round with total of 167. This field was extremely well contested and gave spectators and staff a great show. Boys 11-13
Ryan Walsh took home 1st place in the Boys 11-13 division. Walsh is from Clarkson Valley, Missouri and shot a 73 first round, 77 second round for a total of 150. Lan Adams, from Weldon Spring, Missouri, took second place with a 78 first round, 73 second round for a total of 151. Third place went to Kal Myers, St louis, Missouri. He shot a 75 first round and an 86 second round for a total of 161. These boys demonstrated skill and maturity well beyond their years while playing this course. Girls 14-18
Allison Bray, from Cape Girardeau, Missouri took first place. She shot an 86 first round, and an 82 second for a total of 168 on the weekend. Second place went to None Hagedorn , from Waverly, Kentucky. She shot a very consistent 84 first round and an 84 second round for a total of 168. Third place went to Parker Perry, from St Louis, Missouri. She shot a 90 first round and an 84 second round for a total of 174. Great job to all of the girls who competed this weekend. Girls 13U
The winner of this age divisions was Reese Kite, from Columbia, Illinois. She shot a 99 first round and a 100 second round for a total of 199. Excellent job this weekend Reese. Thank you for coming out and competing with us.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
