Greenville Jr. Shootout Feb. 22-23

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour will be heading to Greer, South Carolina when they host the Greenville Jr. Shootout. This tournament is open to all junior golfers between the ages of 11-18. Being played at the picturesque Willow Creek Golf Club, this tournament has a lot up for grabs. The champion in each division will win AJGA Performance Stars if their respective field size requirements are met. National Junior Golf Scoreboard rankings will be awarded as well as South Carolina Junior Golf Association Heritage Points and Tarheel Youth Golf Association Points. Winners in each division will receive an automatic bid into the HJGT 2014 Tour Championship and Mid-Season Invitational. Additionally, the top ten finishers will receive points towards year end honors which include state teams, ALL HJGT teams and the Hurricane Cup.

The Greenville Jr. Shootout will be a two day, 36-hole, stroke play event. The first round will begin on Saturday with a double tee start running from 8:30AM-10:30PM. The second round, on Sunday, will be a double tee start with times ranging from 8:30AM-10:30AM. The registration fee is $185 for members and $215 for non-members. Designed by Tom Jackson, Willow Creek Golf Club provides golfers an exciting opportunity to test their skills. The championship layout features Bermuda tees and fairways and meticulously maintained Crenshaw Bentgrass greens. Players of all abilities will appreciate the fine playing conditions and unique shot-making opportunities. Willow Creek was built on the gentle, rolling hills of a former peach orchard and provides scenic views of the surrounding countryside.

About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 11-14 and Girls 15-18. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, New Jersey, Maryland, Connecticut, New York, and Pennsylvania.
