Coast to Coast National Giving Back Day:

Golf Equipment Drive

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour needs your help, participate in their Coast to Coast National Giving Back Day: Golf Equipment Drive! In celebration of HJGT’s 10th Anniversary we are hosting a Golf Equipment Drive. The HJGT is looking for used junior golf equipment such as: golf clubs, gloves, shoes, apparel, or any essentials. If you would like to participate please bring your outgrown equipment to any tournament location of the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour from Saturday March 4th until Sunday April 30th. Once we have collected all donations, we will gift them out at our National Giving Back Day on May 3, 2017. Look for a box at scoring after each tournament day with a sign indicating you to place donations in. Below is a picture of what to expect:

Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s National Giving Back Day will occur in five different host cities throughout HJGT’s nationwide tour locations. Staying local to their main office, Jacksonville will be one of our host cities. Larger cities where Hurricane’s tour is prominent such as Columbus, OH, Richmond, VA, Los Angeles, CA, and, Atlanta, GA are our other locations for our National Giving Back Day. The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s vision is to grow the game of golf by providing underprivileged children with the golf essentials they need to compete in tournament golf. Throughout HJGT’s existence making tournament golf available to all children has been a large part of our organization. The Hurricane Foundation and Drive for Juniors, a 501 C3 are two examples of HJGT’s efforts to make competitive golf more assessable. The Hurricane Foundation promotes the sport of golf to inner-city organizations and assists them and others in need, impacting their future through the developmental skills and positive experiences. Drive for Juniors impacts the future of junior golfers as they prepare for success in college golf through skills development and encouraging experiences. The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour has donated over 200 thousand dollars to both causes throughout their existence. Executive Director, Mario Conte statesAfter years of trying to grow the game of golf to youth from all walks of life I am excited to create an event that exposes kids with the products they need to enhance their game. It is important to me to do something different to help grow the game I love and I believe The National Giving Back Day is my opportunity to do so. Our partners for this event have also contributed to the growth of junior golf and it is an honor to work with them to achieve a common goal.
