The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) is excited to invite you to our Florida Fall Challenge at Grande Pines! The event will be held Saturday, October 4th through Sunday, October 5th at the Grande Pines Golf Club. The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour is winding down its 2014 schedule, with only five more event in the state for 2014, you can’t miss out on the opportunity earn Hurricane Cup points and represent the state of Florida in our 2014 Hurricane Cup! The active field for this event boasts a wide variety of players from all over the country, so this is a great opportunity to compete with the best junior golfers the world has to offer! The Florida Fall Challenge at Grande Pines is open to all golfers between the ages of 11-18. At stake in this event are opportunities to earn Junior Golf Scoreboard Rankings (JGS), and AJGA Performance Stars if the respective field sizes are met within each age division. First place finishers in each division receive an automatic bid to the 2014 Tour Championship, held on December 6th-7th in Orlando, FL. Top 10 finishers receive points towards year end honors, including state teams, ALL HJGT teams, and the Hurricane Cup. This event is a two-day, 36 hole event. The first round will kick off Saturday, October 4th with a double tee start running from 7:30AM to 9:30AM. The second round will begin Sunday, October 5th with a double tee start running from 7:30AM to 9:30AM. Registration fees for HJGT members are $185 and $215 for non-members. From its lakes and tall pines, through its oaks and palms, to its dynamic greens, the features and contours at Grande Pines make shot selection as important as any other aspect of your game. Aided by Grande Pines’ player consultant, six-time major champion, Sir Nick Faldo, Smyers has designed each magnificent hole at Marriott’s Grande Pines to be a strategic challenge. About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 11-14 and Girls 15-18.
