The HJGT had 120 events last year, which provided aspiring junior golfers the opportunity to compete at the highest level. Upwards of 8,000 juniors participated at the HJGT’s competitive tournaments throughout the east coast. One of the HJGT’s primary goals is to prepare junior golfers for the competitive world of college golf. At least 40 graduating seniors from 2013 signed on as 2014 signees at smaller Division II and III programs as well as major Division I programs such as UVA, OU, Alabama, UCONN, USC, Kansas and more! The College Prep Series is one of HJGT’s unique opportunities that differentiates our tour and allows our juniors to participate in annually. Juniors are always excited to visit college campuses. It gives them an opportunity to potentially meet golf coaches as well as challenge themselves on college courses. Each College Prep Series also has a lot more at stake with more Hurricane Cup Points available than other events. Please click here to visit our points explanation. HJGT strives to give golfers the experience and recognition they need to advance in the world of collegiate golf. The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 11-14 and Girls 15-18. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, and Ohio.
