
(Jacksonville, FL) -- The Hurricane Collegiate Amateur Tour (HCAT) is excited to announce its final event of the season on December 15th and 16th at Mystic Dunes Resort and Golf Club in Kissimmee, FL. It will be a great way for players looking to stay sharp over the holiday break and for players looking to get additional tournament experience before the spring season. The event will consist of 54 holes; 36 of which will be played on the first day. Players will ride in golf carts during tournament play. All start times will be approximately 8am. Men will play yardages ranging from 7,000 to 7,200 and women will play yardages ranging from 6,000 to 6,200. Started in 2012 the Hurricane Collegiate Amateur Tour was created as an offshoot of the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour to give both men and women the opportunity to compete on a high level at some of the most premier courses in the country. The Hurricane Collegiate Amateur Tour is open to players between the ages of 18-23. This tour is ideal for HJGT alumni, collegiate players, 2012 grads, and any amateur player looking for competition at premier venues. The World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) will rank all Hurricane Collegiate Amateur Tour events. The WAGR is the premier amateur ranking system in the world. The World Amateur Golf Ranking system ranks the top amateur golfers in the world on the basis of their average performance in counting events over a rolling cycle of the previous 52 weeks. Also Footjoy will provide all tournament champions with a brand new pair of custom Myjoys. Designed by Champions Tour Player and NBC golf analyst Gary Koch and rated a 4 1/2 Star course by Golf Digest magazine, Mystic Dunes Golf Club is renowned as one of the most unique courses in all of Florida. With 80-foot elevation changes, rolling sand dunes, mature oaks and large wetland areas, the par 72 course offers two distinctly different nines. How to register No tour membership is required. The tournament entry fee for each event is $235, which includes 54 holes of golf, cart, range balls, snacks and cold drinks on course, and a dozen of Bridgestone B330 golf balls.
