Dallas Spring Classic

Stars Shine in the Lone Star State
On Thursday, March 24, 2017, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour traveled to Frisco, TX to host the Dallas Spring Classic at the challenging Trails of Frisco Golf Club. The players navigated around hazards left and right, and sometimes even across the fairway. Fortunately, the weather was spectacular all weekend, and we had two great rounds of golf Saturday and Sunday. Boys 16-18 Division
Robert Quintana of Allen, TX is the Boys 16-18 Champion. Quintana ran away with the trophy in his division carding a 74 Saturday and 77 Sunday for a two-day total of 151. Billy Jack Bailes of Lake Forest, IL finished in 2nd with a two-day total of 186 (95-91). The 3rd place trophy was awarded to Marcus Dale of Portland, ND with a total of 191 (104-87). The players had a great time navigating a challenging course layout and competing against some of the best junior golfers in the country. Boys 14-15 Division
Josiah Crews is the champion of the Boys 14-15 Division. Consistency was key for Crews as he posted a round of 82 Saturday and 83 Sunday for a 165 two-day total to claim the title. Clint Bailes of Lake Forest, IL came in a close 2nd after finishing with a two-day total of 169 (86-83). Ian Lazar Carter Davis of Dallas, TX was the 3rd place finisher after a two-day total of 174 (89-85). The players competed valiantly and all left with smiles on their faces knowing that they had competed to the best of their abilities.
Boys 11-13 Division
ase Walts of Flower Mound, TX is the Boys 11-13 Champion. After an 84 Saturday, Clark closed strong with a final round of 78 to secure the victory finishing with a two-day total of 162. Braxton Dean of Rockwall, TX posted a total of 175 (87-88) over the two rounds to finish alone in 2nd place. Kyle Nguyenphu of Allen, TX finished in 3rd place with a two-day total of 180 (89-91). The boys had a fun time navigating through the course and showed maturity beyond their years in assaulting its many challenges. Girls 14-18 Division
Arielle Keating of Colorado Springs, CO is the Girls 14-18 Champion. Keating had a sensational 73 Saturday and followed that with an 82 on Sunday for a two-day total of 155. Finishing in 2nd from Plano, TX was Grace Pettijohn who posted rounds of 77 and 79 to finish with a total of 156. Isabella Washka of Lantana, TX finished in 3rd place with a two-day total of 157 (79-78). The ladies each enjoyed their experience immensely, with some intense competition down the stretch.
Girls U13 Division
Symran Shah is the Girls 13 and Under Champion. Shah of Carrollton, TX emerged emerged victorious after posting a two-day total of 157 (76-81). Finishing 2nd with a two-day total was Miyoko Tan of Coppell, TX posting a two-day total of 164 (85-79). Finishing in 3rd for the girls 13U was Olivia Kochan of Dallas, TX who posted two rounds of 89 for a total of 178. The girls displayed tremendous fortitude while trekking through the difficult course layout.
