The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour will be hosting another college prep series event on May 31 – June 1. This tournament is being played at the Birdwood Golf Course at The University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. This course is home to the Virginia Cavaliers Men’s and Women’s Golf Teams. The College Prep Series at UVA is open to all junior golfers between the ages of 11-18. This tournament has plenty at stake. The champion in each division will win AJGA Performance Stars if their respective field size requirements are met. Junior Golf Scoreboard rankings will be awarded to all divisions. The winners in each division will receive an automatic bid into the HJGT 2014 Tour Championship and Mid-Season Invitational. Additionally, the top 15 finishers will receive points towards year end honors which include state teams, ALL HJGT teams and the Hurricane Cup. The event will be a two day, 36-hole, stroke play tournament. The first round will begin on Saturday with a single tee start running from 12PM-3PM. The second round, on Sunday, will also be a single tee start with times ranging from 12PM-3PM. The registration fee is $189 for members and $219 for non-members. About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment.
