College Prep Series at KY
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour will be at University of Kentucky for another College Prep Series! July 17-18, the HJGT will be in Lexington, KY for our 9th of 16 College Prep Series this year! The University Club -- Big Blue Course is a challenging and exciting track for our junior golfers to get a glimpse of what collegiate golf is all about! At our College Prep Series, more points are at stake, making each College Prep Series very competitive. For further explanation of the HJGT point values, Click Here! The College Prep Series at UK is open to all golfers between the ages of 11-18. At stake during this tournament are Junior Golf Scoreboard Rankings (JGS), AJGA Performance Stars if the respective field sizes are met within each age division, an automatic bid into the 2014 Tour Championship, as well as the top 15 finishers from each division will receive points toward year end honors which include state teams, ALL HJGT teams, and Hurricane Cup Points. This is a two day 36-hole event. The first round will begin on Thursday, July 17th with a double tee start running from 7:30AM-9:30AM. The second round, on Friday, July 18th, will begin with a double tee start at 7:30AM-9:30AM. The registration fee is $185 for members and $215 for non-members. Re-designed by Arthur Hills Golf, Big Blue is 18 holes of championship golf in the heart of the Bluegrass. This course has bent grass from tee to green and features numerous sand traps and water hazards over rolling terrain. Green complexes can be challenging due to the beautifully undulating features of the greens. There is a premium placed on driving the ball and positioning of shots in to the greens.

About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 11-14 and Girls 15-18. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, New Jersey, Maryland, Mississippi, New York, and Pennsylvania.
