The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) is excited to invite you to our first event in NC in 2015! The College Prep Series at Duke is the first event that HJGT has administered at this beautiful and historic college venue. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to make history with HJGT and join us for this inaugural event! The College Prep Series at Duke is open to all golfers between the ages of 11-18. At stake in this event are opportunities to earn Junior Golf Scoreboard (JGS) Rankings, South Carolina Junior Golf Association Heritage Points(SCJGA), Tarheel Youth Golf Association Points (TYGA), and AJGA Performance Stars if the respective field sizes are met within each age division. Top three winners in each division will receive an exemption into the 2015 Mid Season Invitational at Chateau Élan on June 20-22, 2015, each winner within each division will receive an exemption into the 2015 Tour Championship on December 5-6, and Top 10 finishers receive points towards year end honors which includes state teams, ALL HJGT teams, and the Hurricane Cup. This event is a two-day, 36 hole event. The first round will kickoff Saturday ,January 31 with a single tee start from 9AM to 12PM. The second round will begin February 1 with a single tee start from 9AM-12PM. Registration fees for member are $209.00 and $254.00 for non-members. Duke University Golf Club’s junior program philosophy is simple: Let’s have FUN helping the junior golfer learn the game and ensure that they have the skills to enjoy the game for a lifetime. Duke University Golf Club offers six separate weeks of a five day junior program from 8:30am to 11:30am, Monday through Friday. Duke University Golf Club’s PGA trained teaching staff will cover every aspect of the game including putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play, full swing and on course play! Duke University Golf Club offers a 6 student to 1 PGA teacher ratio maximum for each week. That student/teacher ratio will guarantee that there will be plenty of personalized instruction within this fun group setting. The Duke University Golf Club offers one of the finest practice facilities with more than 20 + acres. Our all grass practice range is stocked with Callaway premium range balls, practice sand bunker, and 20,000 sq.ft. of putting/chipping green space to hone in your short game.

About us: Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2015 the HJGT will conduct events in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Louisiana, Massachusetts and Connecticut. Juniors will compete in 1 of 5 divisions which are: Boys 15-18, Boys 13-14, Boys 11-12, Girls 15-18, and Girls 11-14. Memberships for the 2015 season start at $139 and tournament fees range from $189-$229 for 36 hole events. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning January 1.
