The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour will be making their first ever trip to the state of Kentucky for the College Prep Series at UK. The event will take place at the University Club of Kentucky- Wildcat Course in Lexington, KY. This event will be taking place April 13-14. This will be the third event in our college prep series and as with all of our college prep series events there will be a lot at stake for our players. First and foremost, this event will offer AJGA Performance Stars which will lead to exemptions for AJGA events. The boy’s 15-18 champion will receive four performance stars if there are 40 or more players in the field. The girl’s 15-18 champion will receive four performance stars if there are 12 or more players in the field. The boy’s 11-14 champion will receive one performance star if there are 20 or more players in the field. Winners in all four divisions will receive an automatic bid for the 2013 Tour Championship. Competitors who place in the top 15 will receive points towards year-end honors including All-HJGT teams and the Hurricane Cup. Finally, this event will be ranked by the Junior Golf Scoreboard. The event will consist of 36 holes of stroke play played from Saturday to Sunday. All players will be started off of the first hole with tee times starting at 12:00 pm on Saturday and 8:00 am on Sunday. Registration will begin at 11:00 am on Saturday and will run until 1:00 pm. The event will feature our typical four divisions: Boys & Girls 15-18 year olds & Boys & Girls 11-14 year olds. Top three finishers in all four divisions will be awarded with trophies. The player from each division with the most birdies will go home with a free EFX Bracelet. The most improved player in each division over the two day tournament will receive a set of Golf Pride grips. Registration for the event is $179 for members and $199 for non-members. Register online at www.hjgt.org. The Wildcat Course features bent grass throughout the course from tees to greens. Wildcat is shorter than its sister course, Big Blue, but numerous bunkers and complex greens make it a challenge nonetheless. Wildcat features a parkland setting that runs through trees and alongside numerous creeks and ponds.

About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment.
