The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour will be hosting the first College eries Event in the state of Tennessee April 27-28. The event is the College Prep Series at Valleybrook, set to take place in Hixson Tennessee at Valleybrook Golf and Country Club. The College Prep Series offers players an opportunity to earn more points which will be distributed out to the top 15 finishers, in lieu of the normal distribution to the top 10. Points are extremely valuable this season and carry weight towards year end honors, all HJGT teams, state teams, and the Hurricane Cup. The event will be ranked by the National Junior Golf Scoreboard and players will have the opportunity to earn AJGA performance based entry stars. 4 stars will be awarded to the champion of the boy’s and girl’s 15-18 age division and 1 performance star will be awarded to the champion of the boy’s 11-14 age division (if requirements are met for field size). Awards and handouts will be provided at registration and the award ceremony. The event will be 36-hole stroke play format. Tee times will run from 9:00AM-12:00PM with a single tee start both days of the event. The awards ceremony will take place at 5:00 PM on Sunday and players will be able to earn a vast array of prizes. The 18-hole course has a rating of 73.1 with a slope rating of 130. The greens are composed of Bermuda grass, one of the top quality grasses for golfing greens. Designed by Chic Adams the course first opened in 1963 and has continued to separate itself as one of the top courses in TN.

About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 15-18 and Girls 11-14.
