Cog Hill Junior Championship

(July 22-23, 2017)

On Thursday, July 20, 2017, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour traveled to Lemont, IL to host the Cog Hill Junior Championship at the famous Cog Hill Golf & Country Club. Luckily, the weather held off the first day, but the second day brought a massive thunderstorm that swamped the golf course, which kept the players from going back out to complete their second round. We made this event a 27-hole event, but players will still get JGS points. The top 3 in each age group will receive exemption into the 2017 National Championship. The top 10 in each age group will receive points towards end of the year honors which include state teams, All HJGT teams and the Hurricane Cup.

Lisa was the only girl in her division, so she actually played with the older girls the first day, and the 10U boys the second. That still didn’t bother Lisa, shooting a 90 on her first day, and a 34 for the first seven holes of the second day. Lisa proved she is one to watch out for in the near future.
