Located just outside of Cincinnati, Harrison Ohio is a small town with a great ambiance. The event that is set to take place in Harrison is the Cincinnati Junior open (May 18-19). Hosted at the esteemed Miami Whitewater Forest Golf Course this event will feature top competition from the Ohio and surrounding regions. The event will provide rankings from the Junior Golf Scoreboard, a premiere junior golf raking system which provides juniors a unique opportunity to be scouted and earn the right to play golf at the collegiate level. The event will provide the opportunity for golfers to earn AJGA stars for the boy’s and girl’s 15-18 champion = 4 performance stars and the boy’s 11-14 champion = 1 performance star. The distribution of AJGA stars will be determined on the basis that minimum field sizes are met (click on the link to our tournament info page below to learn more). Winners of each division will receive a bid into the 2013 Tour Championship. Top 10 finishers will receive points towards year end honors which include state teams, all HJGT teams, and the Hurricane Cup. Tournament format will consist of the following, 36-hole stroke play with single tee starts on Saturday and Sunday. Pairings will be released the Wednesday prior to the tournament and the first and second round tee times will span from 9AM-12PM. The awards ceremony will follow play on Sunday and take place right around 5PM. The host course is the Miami Whitewater Forest Golf Course. Located in Harrison, a quiet town on the outskirts of Cincinnati, the course is noted as one of the most prestigious in the area.

About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 15-18 and Girls 11-14. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, and Ohio.
