Jacksonville, FL (Nov. 24-25)-For the second time this year, the HJGT heads to the beautiful Chateau Elan Golf Club located in Braselton, Georgia for the North Georgia Junior Open. Up for grabs in this tournament is an automatic bid into the 2012 HJGT Tour Championship, rankings by the National Junior Golf Scoreboard (NJGS), South Carolina Junior Golf Association Heritage Points (SCJGA), and HJGT points toward year end honors. The North Georgia Junior Open is a stroke play format tournament being held over two days. Each day players will play eighteen (18) holes of golf, to make for a thirty-six (36) hole tournament in total. There will be four separate divisions of competition. Players will be put in divisions based on age and the divisions will be as follows: Boys 15-18, Girls 15-18, Boys 11-14, and Girls 11-14. The Chateau course is an exciting 18 hole regulation course located at the Chateau Elan Golf Club facility in Braselton, GA. From the longest tees it presents 7,030 yards of golf for a par of 71. The course was designed by Denis Griffiths, ASGCA and opened in 1989. The course rating is 73.5 with a slope rating of 136.
