South Carolina welcomes the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour for the Carolina Spring Challenge at the Woodside March 16-17. The event will take place at the Woodside Plantation Country Club. As with all of our events there is a lot at stake for the golfers in this tournament. Players have the opportunity to earn both South Carolina Junior Golf Association Heritage points and Tarheel Youth Golf Association points. Not only that, but top ten finishers will also receive points towards the year-end Hurricane Cup as well as the All-HJGT teams. Winners of the event will also earn a bid to the 2013 Tour Championship. This event will be ranked by the Junior Golf Scoreboard. This event will consist of two days of 18-hole stroke play. The tee times for day one will run from 11:30 am-1:30 pm and the day two tee times will be from 8:00 am until 10:00 am. The awards ceremony will take place on day two at the conclusion of the round. The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 15-18 and Girls 11-14. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, and Ohio.
