The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour will be traveling to Jefferson, Georgia for the second event in the Canongate Series. The tournament is being played at Traditions of Braselton Golf Club on April 26-27. The course is a favorite among Canongate members for its challenging fairways and diverse landscape. Canongate Series #2 is open to all junior golfers between the ages of 11-18. This tournament has a multitude of points and invitations available. The champion in each division will win AJGA Performance Stars if their respective field size requirements are met. Junior Golf Scoreboard rankings will be awarded to all divisions as well as South Carolina Junior Golf Association Heritage Points. The winners in each division will receive an automatic bid into the HJGT 2014 Tour Championship and Mid-Season Invitational. Additionally, the top ten finishers will receive points towards year end honors which include state teams, ALL HJGT teams and the Hurricane Cup. The event will be a two day, 36-hole, stroke play tournament. The first round will begin on Saturday with a single tee start running from 8AM-12PM. The second round, on Sunday, will also be a single tee start with times ranging from 8AM-12PM. The registration fee is $160 for Canongate Members, $185 for HJGT members and $215 for non-members. The area has been skillfully molded into a championship-caliber golf layout reminiscent of a traditional northeast links course. Traditions of Braselton was designed by Arthur Hills protégé Mike Dasher, who has other Atlanta projects such as The Golf Club of Georgia and The Standard Club to his credit. The tees, fairways and roughs at Traditions feature Bermuda grass, with putting surfaces showcasing bentgrass greens. This course offers a one of a kind golfing experience.

About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 11-14 and Girls 15-18.
