The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) invites you to play in the Callaway Gardens Junior Challenge. This event will be held at Callaway Gardens – Mountain View Course in Pine Mountain, GA on January 23-24. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to play one of Georgia's premier golf courses! The Callaway Gardens Junior Challenge is open to all golfers between the ages of 10-18. The event will have Junior Golf Scoreboard Ranking (JGS), AJGA performance stars, winners in each division will receive in an exemption into the 2016 Tour Championship December 3-4, 2016, top 3 in each division will receive an exemption into the 2016 Mid Season Invitational at Chateau Elan June 11-13, 2016, South Carolina Junior Golf Heritage Points (SCJGA), and top 10 finishers receive points towards year end honors which include state teams, ALL HJGT teams, and the Hurricane Cup.

Junior Golf Scoreboard:
- Any division in which five or more competitors complete at least a 36-hole event.
This event is a two-day, 36-hole event. Both rounds will begin with a double tee start from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Registration for members is $195 and $245 for non-members. Just over an hour south of Atlanta, Callaway Gardens has been one of Georgia’s finest golf courses dating back to 1949. In its history, Callaway Gardens and its two courses – Lake View and Mountain View – have hosted the SEC Women’s Golf Championship from 1982-1987, the PGA Tour Buick Challenge from 1991-2002 and PGA Tour Qualifying School from 2011-2012, among others. PGA Tour professionals Jonathan Byrd, David Duval, Steve Elkington, Davis Love III and David Toms have all claimed victory in the Buick Challenge at the Mountain View Course. The Mountain View course was designed by Dick Wilson, the architect of renowned Cog Hill No. 4 in Illinois. Wilson’s design features tight, Georgia Pine-lined fairways. It was also once listed as a former Golf Digest “Places to Play” Four-Star Winner.

About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 10-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than another other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 8 years. There are several factors that set us apart from the competition which we call #TheHurricaneDifference. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2016 the HJGT will expand to Texas, California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, and Washington as well as Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Louisiana, Mississippi, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Memberships for the 2016 season start at $159 and tournament fees range from $189-$229 for 36 hole events. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year-end honors beginning January 1.
