The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour Comes to the Boston Area
The Boston Junior Shootout is set for April 9-10
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) invites you to play in the Boston Junior Shootout! This event will be held on April 9-10 at Blackstone National Golf Club in Sutton, Mass. Don’t miss out on a great opportunity to play in our first event of the year in Massachusetts!
This event is a two-day, 36-hole event. Both rounds will begin with a single tee start from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Registration for members is $195 and $245 for non-members. The Boston Junior Shootout is open to all golfers between the ages of 8-18. The event will have Junior Golf Scoreboard Ranking (JGS), winners in each division will receive an invitation to the 2016 Tour Championship on Dec. 3-4, top three in each division will receive an invitation to the 2016 Druh Belts Mid Season Invitational at Chateau Elan on June 11-13, and top-10 finishers receive points towards year end honors which include state teams, all HJGT teams, and the Hurricane Cup.
American Junior Golf Association
- This event does not have guaranteed AJGA stars. If this event meets the minimum requirements for any age division we will submit it to the AJGA for consideration. The minimums are as follows: Boys 14-15/Boys 16-18 = 40 players, Boys 11-13 = 20 players, Girls 14-18 = 12 players, and Girls under 13 = six players.
Junior Golf Scoreboard
- Ranking available for any division in which five or more competitors complete at least a 36-hole event.
Course Information
Blackstone National opened in 2001 and was designed by renowned course architect, Rees Jones. Blackstone National was also recognized in 2014 by Golfweek Magazine as one of the “Best Courses You Can Play”. Incorporating New England’s natural landscape and scenery, Blackstone is one of Massachusetts premier golf options.
Yardages for this event are as follows: Boys 10U: 5,011; Girls 13U: 5,100; Boys 11-13/Girls 14-18: 5,797; Boys 14-15/Boys 16-18: 6,755.
