The weekend of May 11-12 the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour will be touching down in Evans, GA for the Augusta Junior Shootout. Located just minutes outside of Augusta, the Bartram Trail Golf Club is one of Columbia County’s finest landmarks. This tournament will feature rankings from the National Junior Golf scoreboard and players will be competing for varying state and HJGT points. At stake will be South Carolina Junior Golf Association Heritage Points, Tarheel Youth Golf Association Points, and AJGA performance stars. Thechampion of the boy’s & girl’s 15-18 division will earn 4 stars and the champion of the boy’s 11-14 division will be eligible to earn 1 performance star pending upon whether the field reaches 20 or more players. Top 10 finishers will receive points toward year end honors, state teams, all HJGT teams, and the inaugural Hurricane Cup. Tournament format will be a 36-hole stroke play event. Tee times will run course from 9:00AM-1:00PM on Saturday and from 7:30Am-9:30AM on Sunday. Registration will be from 8:00-12:00PM on Saturday as well. The awards ceremony will follow play on Sunday where players will earn trophies and gifts such as Golf Pride Grips. The host course will be the Bartram Trail Golf Club. One of the premiere attractions to this course is the unique MiniVerde fine bladed ultra dwarf Bermuda grass. The course features wetlands, creek beds, and rolling terrain. The course is par 72 and a unique hybrid between challenging and serene.

About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 15-18 and Girls 11-14.
