Augusta Jr. Shootout May 10-11

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour will be traveling to the Augusta area on May 10-11 for the Augusta Jr. Shootout. The event is being played at the picturesque Bartram Trail Golf Club in Evans, GA. The Bartram Trail course takes full advantage of the mature hardwood and pine forests on either side of Euchee Creek. The Augusta Jr. Shootout is open to all junior golfers between the ages of 11-18. This tournament has plenty at stake. The champion in each division will win AJGA Performance Stars if their respective field size requirements are met. Junior Golf Scoreboard rankings will be awarded to all divisions as well as South Carolina Junior Golf Association Heritage points. The winners in each division will receive an automatic bid into the HJGT 2014 Tour Championship and Mid-Season Invitational. Additionally, the top ten finishers will receive points towards year end honors which include state teams, ALL HJGT teams and the Hurricane Cup. The event will be a two day, 36-hole, stroke play tournament. The first round will begin on Saturday with a shotgun start at 2PM. The second round, on Sunday, will be a double tee start with times ranging from 8AM-10AM. The registration fee is $185 for members and $215 for non-members. It is just minutes away from Augusta, one of the great meccas of the golfing world. Bartram Trail is the only public golf course in Columbia County to offer MiniVerde fine bladed Ultra Dwarf Bermuda grass and feature five par five's and five par three's. Bartram Trail is a member of the Audubon International Wildlife Sanctuary program. It offers a true challenge to golfers of all skill levels.

About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 11-14 and Girls 15-18.
